Pápulas perladas, also known as hirsutoid papillomas, are small, harmless bumps on the penis that often occur in men who are uncircumcised. They are usually white or flesh-colored and appear in clusters around the head of the penis or on the shaft.
Despite their appearance, papulas perladas are not a sexually transmitted infection and are not contagious. They are a natural occurrence and are believed to be caused by blocked oil glands or hair follicles.
While they do not cause any health complications, some men may choose to have them removed for cosmetic reasons. Removal typically involves a simple outpatient procedure and has no impact on sexual function or sensation.
